Anthony's Place

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

We’re opening soon in Albany, Oregon. Here are the questions we hear most from families exploring adult day care for a loved one. If you don’t see your question, please send us a message.

What is adult day services?

Adult day services give older adults a safe, engaging place to spend the day — with meals, activities, and caring support — so they can stay at home with family while caregivers work, rest, or handle the day.

Is Anthony's Place right for my loved one?

We welcome older adults living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, and seniors who simply need daytime support. If you're not sure, reach out — we're glad to talk it through with you.

What does a typical day look like?

A morning meeting, then gentle exercise, music, games, baking, gardening, arts, and meaningful activities — a family-style lunch — and quieter afternoon time, entertainment, or time outdoors. Always planned, always flexible to each person.

What are your hours?

We plan to be open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (flexible early drop-off and extended hours available).

What is the cost?

Our daily rate is $150 / day. 3-day and 5-day weekly packages available; respite days subject to availability.

What is your caregiver-to-participant ratio?

We keep our groups intentionally small and are committed to caregiver-to-participant ratios that meet or exceed Oregon requirements, so every participant receives personalized attention.

What if my loved one doesn't want to come?

That's a very common worry, and you're not alone in it. Every family and every person is different — reach out and we'll talk through what a gentle, comfortable start could look like.

Can we schedule a tour?

Yes — we'd love to meet you. We're opening soon, so request a tour below and we'll be in touch to arrange a visit.

What makes Anthony's Place different?

It isn't just what we do, it's how we make people feel. Every participant is welcomed like family, every day is filled with purpose, and every caregiver knows their loved one is truly seen, valued, and cared for.
